1 loaf of fresh-baked bread (we suggest a long-fermented levain/sourdough bread!)
olive oil (use a good one for nice flavor)
1 clove garlic
salt
Cut thick slices of bread and brush both sides each slice with a little olive oil.
Toast until golden (we suggest doing so under a broiler or on the grill).
Cut a nice big garlic clove in half. Rub the cut side of the garlic all over every inch of the bread. Pro tip: Start by rubbing the crust edge to help rough up the garlic and get the juices flowing).
Drizzle the bread with a bit more delicious olive oil and give it a good sprinkle of sea salt.
Serve with Botanica’s Greens & Beans Shakshuka.
